Safety Requirements
NONEProcedure
Apply adhesive tape for masking to the areas which do not require remaining rubber.
Refer to SPM TASK 70-12-07-120-501.
Use dry plastic blast to remove the remaining rubber.
Remove adhesive tape for masking.
Remove the remaining rubber from the outer shroud, if the remaining rubber is not fully removed in Step.
SUBTASK 72-32-76-350-065 Remove the Defective Vane
Refer to Repair, VRS1874 TASK 72-32-76-300-016 (REPAIR-016).
Apply primer to bond surface.
Apply CoMat 07-070 ZINC CHROMATE PRIMER to the surface of washers, where they contact with the inner ring. Apply CoMat 10-077 APPROVED ENGINE OILS, to the bolts and torque the bolts to between 32 lbfin to 36 lbfin (3.61 Nm to 4.07 Nm).
Use IAE 3J13171 Stand, working 1 off and IAE 3J13215 Holder,locating 1 off to obtain the correct position.
Install the new vane in position.
Refer to Repair, VRS1874 TASK 72-32-76-300-016 (REPAIR-016).
Apply the silicone rubber compound and cure.
SUBTASK 72-32-76-360-062 Attach the New Vane in Position
Refer to Repair, VRS1874 TASK 72-32-76-300-016 (REPAIR-016).

CAUTION
IF VANES ARE INCORRECTLY ASSEMBLED, BLADES SUFFER EXCESSIVE STRESS WHICH CAN LEAD TO A BREAKDOWN OF THE BLADES.Examine the repaired area.
If necessary, do this TASK again.
Refer to Figure.
Examine the vane location.
