Apply adhesive tape for masking to the areas which do not require remaining rubber.
Refer to SPM TASK 70-12-07-120-501.
Use dry plastic blast to remove the remaining rubber.
Remove adhesive tape for masking.
Remove the remaining rubber from the outer shroud, if the remaining rubber is not fully removed in Step.
SUBTASK 72-32-76-350-064 Remove the Defective Rubber
Refer to Figure and SPM TASK 70-36-04-360-501.
Apply CoMat 08-032 PRIMER with a clean brush or CoMat 02-099 LINT-FREE CLOTH on to the metal surface only. The primer must not be applied to the silicone rubber.
NOTE
Parts must have the CoMat 08-042 SILICONE RUBBER COMPOUND applied within 24 hours of completion of primer application.Apply the primer to the bond surfaces.

Dry the CoMat 08-032 PRIMER.
SUBTASK 72-32-76-380-057 Apply the Primer
Use a clean Spatula or equivalent.
NOTE
When mixed, the life of the silicone rubber compound is a maximum of three hours at room temperature.Mix the rubber and the curing agent.
SUBTASK 72-32-76-360-059 Mixing Instruction
Use IAE 3J13212 Shape gage 1 off and IAE 3J13213 Fillet former 1 off to make the silicone rubber compound the correct shape.
Fill the gaps with mixed silicone rubber.
