General

This TASK gives the procedure to clean the splitter fairing assembly. For the other fan outlet inner vane assembly parts, refer to TASK 72-32-91-100-000 (CLEANING-000).

The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK/SUBTASK numbers are in the SPM.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-32-91-110-051 Remove the Soft Dirt and Dust

      1. Remove the soft dirt and dust. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-26-300-503.

      1. Use a soft bristle brush or swab.

      2. Dry.

      1. Use a clean dry air blast or CoMat 02-099 LINT-FREE CLOTH.

    2. SUBTASK 72-32-91-110-052 Remove the Paint (PL 205)

    1. NOTE

      This SUBTASK is an alternative to Step.

      Remove the grease. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-03-300-503.

      2. Immerse.

      1. Use CoMat 01-276 COLD SOLVENT DECARBONIZER. Solution at room temperature, time 30 to 60 minutes.

      3. Spray wash.

      1. Cold water.

    4. Scrub as required with bristle brush.

      5. Spray wash.

      1. Cold water.

      6. Dry.

      1. Use a clean dry air blast.

    3. SUBTASK 72-32-91-110-057 Remove the Paint (PL205)

    1. NOTE

      This SUBTASK is an alternative to Step.

      Remove the paint. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-29-300-503.
