Refer to Figure.
Do the penetrant procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.
No cracks permitted.
Use fluorescent penetrant inspection equipment.
Examine the machined area for cracks.
SUBTASK 72-32-94-230-055 Examine the Snap Diameter of the Oil Seal Tube Assembly for Cracks
Refer to Figure.
Do the procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-11-03-300-503.
Clean the oil seal tube.
Do the procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501 (SUBTASK 70-34-03-380-001).
Mask the oil seal tube.
Do the procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501 (SUBTASK 70-34-03-380-001.
No grit blast is permitted in the fillet area.
Grit blast the repair area to get a constant rough surface.
Use grit blast equipment.
Grit blast the snap diameter of the oil seal tube.
SUBTASK 72-32-94-380-051-A00 Prepare the Snap Diameter of the Oil Seal Tube for Plasma Spray Coat, (For P/N 5A2137, titanium alloy)
Refer to Figure.
Do the procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-11-03-300-503.
Clean the oil seal tube.
Do the procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501.
Mask the oil seal tube.
Do the procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501 (SUBTASK 70-34-03-380-001).
No grit blast is permitted in the fillet area.
Use grit blast equipment.
Grit blast the snap diameter of the oil seal tube.
SUBTASK 72-32-94-380-051-B00 Prepare the Snap Diameter of the Oil Seal Tube for Plasma Spray Coat, (For P/N 5A1434 and 5A1435, non-titanium parts)
Refer to Figure
Do the procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501.
Apply the plasma spray coating to a sufficient thickness which will permit the final machining.
No overspray is permitted in the fillet area.
Use plasma spray equipment.
The maximum thickness of the plasma spray is 0.020 in. (0.50 mm).
Plasma spray the snap diameter.

Do the inspection procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501.
Examine the coated area for chips, cracks, lifted material, coating that is not attached to the base metal and surfaces that show heat cracks.
Refer to Figure.
Measure the snap diameter.
SUBTASK 72-32-94-220-064 Examine the Repaired Area
Mark the part by the procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-09-00-400-501.
Use the shallow electrolytic etch method.
Make a mark VRS1451 adjacent to the part number.
