NONEProcedure
Examine the HP Compressor Variable Stator Vane, Stage 6, Pivot Journal(s), for repair.
NOTE
The minimum worn or damaged diameter of the outer pivot journal, diameter AC, that can be repaired is 0.4595 in (11.672 mm).
The minimum worn or damaged diameter of the inner pivot journal, diameter AD, that can be repaired is 0.3808 in (9.672 mm).
SUBTASK 72-41-32-220-165 Examine the HP Compressor Variable Stator Vane, Stage 6
Only clean up sufficiently to give a good clean diameter.
NOTE
The minimum diameter of the outer pivot journal, diameter AC, after you have removed wear and/or damage is 0.4585 in (11.646 mm).
The minimum diameter of the inner pivot journal, diameter AD, after you have removed wear and/or damage is 0.3798in (9.646mm).
Turn to remove damage and/or wear from pivot journal(s).
SUBTASK 72-41-32-325-059 Remove Damage from the HP Compressor Variable Stator Vane, Stage 6

CAUTION
DO NOT REMOVE MATERIAL FROM THE HP COMPRESSOR VARIABLE STATOR VANE, STAGE 6, RADII.Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-04-230-501.
Use CoMat 06-022 FLUORESCENT PENETRANT (POST-EMULSIFIED ULTRA HIGH SENSITIVITY), with penetrant crack test equipment.
Cracks are not permitted.
Do a penetrant crack test on the repair area(s).
SUBTASK 72-41-32-230-088 Do a Crack Test
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-12-02-120-501.
Use CoMat 05-001 ABRASIVE MEDIUM, ALUMINIUM OXIDE, 20/30 GRADE or CoMat 05-002 ABRASIVE MEDIUM, ALUMINUM OXIDE, with abrasive blast equipment.
Abrasive blast the surfaces to be repaired.
SUBTASK 72-41-32-120-067-A00 Prepare the Surfaces for Repair, Assembly A

CAUTION
DO NOT TOUCH SURFACE(S) TO BE REPAIRED AFTER THEY ARE CLEANED.
CAUTION
TOO MUCH ABRASIVE BLAST CAN CAUSE DETERIORATION OF THE PREPARED SURFACE CONDITION AND MUST BE PREVENTED.Refer to the SPM TASK 70-12-02-120-501.
Use CoMat 05-001 ABRASIVE MEDIUM, ALUMINIUM OXIDE, 20/30 GRADE or CoMat 05-002 ABRASIVE MEDIUM, ALUMINUM OXIDE, with abrasive blast equipment.
Abrasive blast the surfaces to be repaired.
SUBTASK 72-41-32-120-067-B00 Prepare the Surfaces for Repair, Assembly B

CAUTION
DO NOT TOUCH SURFACE(S) TO BE REPAIRED AFTER THEY ARE CLEANED.
CAUTION
TOO MUCH ABRASIVE BLAST CAN CAUSE DETERIORATION OF THE PREPARED SURFACE CONDITION AND MUST BE PREVENTED.Refer to the SPM TASK 70-34-01-340-501, SUBTASK 70-34-01-340-014.
Use CoMat 03-320 METAL SPRAYING POWDER,WC/Co or CoMat 03-456 METAL SPRAY POWDER WC-17CO, with metal spray equipment.
