Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-42-31-350-051 Round the Edges of all the Slots in the No. 4 Bearing Support Assembly

      1. Round the edges of all the slots.

      1. Refer to Figure.

    2. SUBTASK 72-42-31-380-051 Shotpeen the No. 4 Bearing Support Assembly

      1. Shotpeen the support assembly at an intensity of 6A. Use CoMat 05-033 CAST STEEL SHOT DELETED (hardness 45 - 55 HRC or equivalent).

      1. NOTE

        Overspray is permitted on all other surfaces unless specified differently.

    3. SUBTASK 72-42-31-350-052 Identify the No. 4 Bearing Support Assembly with the New Part Number

      1. Identify the support assembly with the new part number adjacent to the existing part number. Use the vibration peen method.

      1. NUMBER BEFORE: 2A0846.

        NEW NUMBER: 2A2038.

        Refer to the SPM TASK 70-09-00-400-501.
