TASK 72-44-50-840-001 HPT Stage 1 Cooling (TOBI) Duct - Rework The HPT Stage 1 Cooling (TOBI) Duct, Rework-001- SBE 72-0046
General
You must do the rework on the stage 1 HPT blades given in TASK 72-45-14-840-001, SBE 72-0046 - REWORK 001 at the same time you do the rework given in this procedure.
The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK number are in the SPM.
Refer to the indicated Service Bulletin for specific application requirements.

Do the air flow check by the procedure given in TASK 72-44-50-200-001-A00.
Make sure that the flow is in the limits given.
To get the specified flow rate, add or make larger the one to 15 openings, as necessary, to increase the flow.
Refer to Figure requirements.
Do an air flow check on the cooling duct passages, all together, in the direction shown in the figure.
SUBTASK 72-44-50-210-051 Air Flow Check the Cooling Duct Assembly
Open the passageways in the sequence shown.
Remove the material through the weld as shown.
Surface texture must be by the procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-35-09-350-501.
Refer to Figure requirements.
Set-up and machine the cooling duct to open the blocked passages.
SUBTASK 72-44-50-320-051 Machine the Cooling Duct Assembly Blocked Passages
Do the air flow check by the procedure given in TASK 72-44-50-200-001-A00.
Make sure that the flow is in the limits given.
Correct as necessary.
Refer to Figure requirements.
Do an air flow check on the cooling duct passages, all together, in the direction shown in the figure.

Refer to procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-09-00-400-501.
Mark the new part number adjacent to the part number that was there before. Use the vibration peen method.
SUBTASK 72-44-50-350-051 Identify the Reworked Cooling Duct Assembly with the New Part Number
Refer to procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-09-00-400-501.
Mark the new turbine nozzle group number adjacent to the number that was there before. Use the vibration peen method.

Refer to procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-09-00-400-501.
Mark the new turbine nozzle group number adjacent to the number that was there before. Use the vibration peen method.

Refer to procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-09-00-400-501.
Mark the new rotor and stator assembly number adjacent to the number that was there before. Use the vibration peen method.
