NONESafety Requirements
NONEProcedure
Refer to Figure and the SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501.
No overspray is permitted.
The thickness of the plasma spray must be sufficient to permit finish machining, but must not be more than 0.030 in (0.762 mm) thickness.
NOTE
You can use CoMat 03-089 METAL SPRAYING POWDER Ni/Al (95/5) or CoMat 03-090 METAL SPRAYING POWDER Ni/Al (95/5) for a plasma thickness of 0.025 in (0.635 mm) or less. Use CoMat 07-094 WIRE, DUAL ELECTRIC ARCCOATINGS for plasma thicknesses that are more than 0.025 in (0.635 mm). You can also use CoMat 07-094 WIRE, DUAL ELECTRIC ARCCOATINGS for plasma thicknesses that are less than 0.025 in (0.635 mm).Plasma spray the axial dimension.
SUBTASK 72-44-50-340-001 Plasma Spray the OD Flange Axial Dimension of the Stage 1 HPT Cooling Duct
Machine the flange to the dimensions given in Figure.
Break the edges to 0.003-0.015 in (0.076-0.381 mm).
NOTE
If the measured dimension in a free condition is not satisfactory, a held condition is permitted. All dimensions apply when Surface N is flat by 0.002 in (0.051 mm) and Diameter L maintains a clearance envelope of 13.040 in (331.216 mm) diameter in a free or held condition. In a free condition, Surface N must be flat by 0.005 in (0.127 mm) and Diameter L must be 13.008 to 13.059 in (330.40 to 331.70 mm). Hold the duct only on Surfaces N, M, and W and Diameter L.Machine the flange after plasma spray.
SUBTASK 72-44-50-320-073 Machine the OD Flange of the Stage 1 HPT Cooling Duct After Plasma Spray
Make a permanent mark by the procedure given in the SPM TASK 70-09-00-400-501. Use the vibration peen method.
Make a mark VRS3618 adjacent to the part number.
