Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 72-50-25-320-051 Remove the Worn Locating Key

      1. Machine off the worn locating key.

      1. Electrochemical drill according to the SPM TASK 70-32-03-320-501 .

        Refer to Figure.

        Optional grinding is permitted.

        Do not remove parent material.

        Traces of brace can stay to get the slot dimensions.

        Use the electrochemical drilling machine.

    2. SUBTASK 72-50-25-110-053 Clean the Outer Diffuser Support Assembly

      1. Vapour degrease the outer diffuser support assembly.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-01-300-503.

    3. SUBTASK 72-50-25-230-055 Examine the Outer Diffuser Support Assembly for Cracks

      1. Do the test for cracks.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.

        Use crack detection kit and ultraviolet lamp.

        No cracks are permitted.

    4. SUBTASK 72-50-25-230-056 Examine the Outer Diffuser Support Assembly

      1. Examine the outer diffuser support assembly dimensionally.

      1. For dimensions refer to Figure.

        Use radius gage set, depth gage micrometer, dial caliper and vernier caliper.

    5. SUBTASK 72-50-25-310-051 Weld in the New Locating Key

      1. Tungsten inert gas weld the locating key in position.

      1. Clamp the locating key to prevent movement.

        Use tungsten inert gas system and CoMat 03-184 WELDING FILLER WIRE, NICKEL to weld the locating key.

        Refer to Figure and to the SPM TASK 70-31-13-310-501.

    6. SUBTASK 72-50-25-220-071 Do the Post Repair Inspection

      1. Examine the reworked area for completed weld.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-31-13-310-501.

        Too much weld material is not permitted.

        Use illuminated magnifier.

      2. Examine the welded locating key dimensionally.

      1. For finish dimensions refer to Figure.

        Use dial caliper and vernier caliper.

      3. Do the test for cracks.

      1. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.

        Use crack detection kit and ultraviolet lamp.

        No cracks are permitted.
