Refer to SPM TASK 70-33-78-300-503.
Remove the coat from ferrule outer diameter.
Refer to SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501.
Remove the minimum amount of parent material necessary to accomplish the repair.
Grind to remove the damage or wear and all of the coat.
SUBTASK 72-50-53-350-203 Remove the Damage or Wear and all the Coat from Ferrule Outer Diameter

Clean the part.
Refer to SPM TASK 70-23-01-230-501 or SPM TASK 70-23-02-230-501.
Do a fluorescent penetrant inspection of the part.
Do a dimensional inspection of the repair area.
Refer to SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501.
Mask areas which are not to be coated.
Grit blast the repair area. Grit blast out of repair area is not permitted.
Prepare the part for plasma coat.

Coat to sufficient thickness to permit finish grinding.
Coat out of repair area shown is not permitted. Use masks.
Plasma coat the repair area.

After part has cooled, remove the masking material.
