Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 75-24-49-350-053 Remove the Damaged Screw Thread Inserts (03-500, 03-721, 02-500 and 04-120) of the Support Assemblies (03-490, 03-720, 02-490 and 04-010)

    1. Refer to Figure

      2. Remove the damaged screw thread inserts.

      1. Refer to SPM TASK 70-35-08-300-501.

    2. SUBTASK 75-24-49-220-077 Examine the Threads

    1. Refer to Figure

      2. Examine the threads in the support assemblies for damage and raised material.

      1. Damage, which does not permit the installation of the new screw thread insert is not permitted.

      2. Remove raised metal.

    3. SUBTASK 75-24-49-350-054 Install the New Screw Thread Inserts (03-500, 03-721, 02-500 and 04-120)

      2. Install the new screw thread inserts to the support assemblies.

      1. Refer to SPM TASK 70-35-11-300-501.

    4. SUBTASK 75-24-49-220-078 Do the Post Repair Inspection

      1. Examine screw thread inserts for correct installation.

      1. Refer to SPM TASK 70-35-11-300-501.

      2. Use thread gage (part of the screw thread insert).
