If the tube has been repaired before, do not carry out this repair.

Refer to Cleaning-000 TASK 79-21-49-100-100.
Clean the area to be repaired.
SUBTASK 79-21-49-110-052 Clean the Repair Area
Refer to SPM TASK 70-31-02-310-501-001.
Make sure that the weld-bead is symmetrical along the full length of the crack.
The welding data is as follows:
Type - Argon-arc D.C.
Torch - B.O.C. W200 or an equivalent.
Electrode - 2% ceriated tungsten with a 0.0625 in. (1.59 mm) diameter.
Weld the crack.
SUBTASK 79-21-49-310-051 Repair the Crack
Use the Wire brush to remove unwanted materials caused by the repair.
Clean the repaired area.

Make sure that the weld is complete along the length of the crack.
Examine the repair weld.
