Remove the existing chrome plate by SPM TASK 70-33-02-100-501. If chrome plate was not removed completely by SPM TASK 70-33-02-100-501, grind to remove the chrome plate.

SUBTASK 72-50-53-320-065 Machine the No. 5 Bearing Seat
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-03-300-503.
Clean the turbine exhaust case.
SUBTASK 72-50-53-110-209 Clean the Turbine Exhaust Case
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501. Use medium sensitivity, water washable. No cracks permitted.
If grinding method was used to remove chromium plate, then do a local fluorescent penetrant inspection of the repair area.
SUBTASK 72-50-53-230-151 Examine the Turbine Exhaust Case

Clean the repair area locally.

Apply a mask to the areas of the turbine exhaust case that are not to be plated.

Plate to a sufficient thickness to permit the machining to the last dimension.
The plate out of the seat is permitted but must be removed.
Do the chromium plating.

Do this process as soon as possible in less than four hours after chromium plate.
Bake the turbine exhaust case assembly after chromium plating.
