This TASK details the procedure for the replacement of the terminals of the electrical harness.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 70-35-25-350-027 Remove Damaged Terminals

    2. CAUTION

      DO NOT CUT THE CONDUCTOR.

      Refer to Figure.

    3. Remove the terminal.

      1. Remove the insulation from the cable.

      2. Use a cable stripper.

    1. SUBTASK 70-35-25-350-028 Install the Terminal

    2. Refer to Figure

      1. Install the terminal.

      2. Put the conductor into the terminal barrel. Use a crimping tool.

      1. Install the cable identification sleeve.

    1. SUBTASK 70-35-25-350-029 Install the Alumel and Chromel Terminals

    2. Refer to Figure.

    3. Install the glass fabric tube.

      1. Install the terminal.

      2. Put the conductor into the terminal barrel. Use a crimping tool.

      1. Fusion weld the terminal barrel.

      2. Refer to SPM TASK 70-31-13-310-501.

      1. Install the cable identification sleeve.

    1. SUBTASK 70-35-25-350-054 Identify the Repair

      1. Make a mark VRS7002/D on the identification sleeve of the harness adjacent to the part number.

      2. Use permanent marker.
