NOTE

Do a Stage 2 HP Turbine Blade Assembly Blade Length Inspection (SUBTASK 72-45-32-220-074 and SUBTASK 72-45-32-220-092) only if the Stage 1 Turbine Hub, Stage 1 HP Turbine Air Seal (Outer), Stage 1 HP Turbine Air Seal (Inner), Stage 2 Turbine Hub, Stage 2 HP Turbine Air Seal, or the Stage 2 HP Turbine Blade Retaining Plate were scrapped as a result of this procedure.

Procedure

    1. Inspections for Engines removed for N2 Overspeed

      1. For an overspeed of 103% N2 or more you must remove and disassemble the engine and complete the TASKs that follow:

      2. Examine the HP Compressor Stage 3 Rotor Blades (Refer to EM TASK 72-41-15-200-001).

      3. Examine the HP Compressor Stage 4 Rotor Blades (Refer to EM TASK 72-41-15-200-002).

      4. Examine the HP Compressor Stage 5 Rotor Blades (Refer to EM TASK 72-41-15-200-003).

      5. Examine the HP Compressor Stage 6 Rotor Blades (Refer to EM TASK 72-41-15-200-004).

      6. Examine the HP Compressor Stage 7 Rotor Blades (Refer to EM TASK 72-41-15-200-005).

      7. Examine the HP Compressor Stage 8 Rotor Blades (Refer to EM TASK 72-41-15-200-006).

      8. Examine the HP Compressor Stage 9 Rotor Blades (Refer to EM TASK 72-41-15-200-007).

      9. Examine the HP Compressor Stage 10 Rotor Blades (Refer to EM TASK 72-41-15-200-008).

      10. Examine the HP Compressor Stage 11 Rotor Blades (Refer to EM TASK 72-41-15-200-009).

      16. Examine the Stage 1 Turbine Hub (Refer to EM TASK 72-45-11-200-001).

      17. Examine the Stage 1 HP Turbine Air Seal, Outer (Refer to EM TASK 72-45-12-200-001).

      18. Examine the Stage 1 HP Turbine Air Seal, Inner (Refer to EM TASK 72-45-13-200-001).

      19. Examine the Stage 2 Turbine Hub (Refer to EM TASK 72-45-31-200-001).

      20. Examine the Stage 2 HP Turbine Air Seal (Refer to EM TASK 72-45-00-200-002).

      21. Examine the Stage 2 HP Turbine Blade Retaining Plate (Refer to EM TASK 72-45-33-200-001).

      22. Examine the Stage 2 HP Turbine Blade Assembly (Refer to EM TASK 72-45-32-200-001).

    2. Check the VSV mechanism. Refer to TASK 72-00-40-700-001.

    3. Check the bleed valve and bleed valve solenoid operation. Refer to TASK 71-00-00-700-066, TASK 71-00-00-700-067, TASK 71-00-00-700-068 and TASK 71-00-00-700-069.
