The harness must be disassembled only as necessary to get access to the damaged cables.

Refer to Repair, VRS2983 TASK 71-52-42-300-003 (REPAIR-003).
Disassemble the backclamps and the connectors to get access to the damaged cables.
Use an applicable forming board to hold the harness.
Make a note of the position of these items: the different types of cable ties, the identification sleeves and the adhesive tape.
Remove only the items which hold the cables that must be replaced.
Disassemble the harness to get access to the damaged cables.
Use cable of the correct type and length.
Attach the new contacts, refer to Repair, VRS2990 TASK 71-52-42-300-004 (REPAIR-004).
Install the new identification sleeves in the positions noted in Step above, refer to SPM VRS7002 TASK 70-35-25-300-001-F01 (REPAIR-001).
Replace the cables.
Refer to Repair, VRS2983 TASK 71-52-42-300-003 (REPAIR-003).
Assemble the backclamps and the connectors.
Tie the cables in the positions noted in Step above, refer to Repair, VRS2975 TASK 71-52-42-300-002 (REPAIR-002).
Tie the cables.
Refer to TASK 71-52-42-700-301 (TESTING-01).
Do a continuity and insulation test.
SUBTASK 71-52-42-350-052 Replace the Cables
Use the CoMat 06-153 FELT TIP MARKER, RAPID DRYING marking pen.
Put the repair scheme number VRS2967 on the identification sleeve of the harness, adjacent to the part number.
