Remove the front and rear chocking pads assembly.
SUBTASK 72-31-11-350-071 Remove the Chocking Pads from the LPC Rotor Blade Assembly
Refer to TASK 72-31-11-100-000 (CLEANING-000).
Remove the dry film lubricant from the rotor blade root.
SUBTASK 72-31-11-110-065 Remove the Dry Film Lubricant from the LPC Rotor Blade Assembly
Refer to TASK 72-31-11-200-000 (INSPECTION/CHECK-000).
Do a penetrant crack test.

Prepare surfaces for applying dry film lubricant.
Apply the masking tape to the areas which are not to be given a layer of dry film lubricant. Use CoMat 02-019 TAPE, ADHESIVE PAPER HEAT RESISTING MASKING or CoMat 02-002 ADHESIVE TAPE GENERALPURPOSE PAPER. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501, SUBTASK 70-38-03-380-003.
Apply the masking tape.
Apply 3 coats of dry film lubricant to a total thickness of between 0.001 and 0.002 in. (0.025 and 0.051 mm) to surfaces marked AD. Overspray of dry film lubricant is permitted on all surfaces within areas AE which are not included in the surface AC. Use CoMat 10-004 DRY FILM LUBRICANT and CoMat 07-009 THINNER. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501, SUBTASK 70-38-03-380-004.
Apply the dry film lubricant.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501, SUBTASK 70-38-03-220-001.
Examine the layer of dry film lubricant.

Apply the masking tape to the areas which are not to be given a layer of dry film lubricant. Use CoMat 02-019 TAPE, ADHESIVE PAPER HEAT RESISTING MASKING or CoMat 02-002 ADHESIVE TAPE GENERALPURPOSE PAPER. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501, SUBTASK 70-38-03-380-003.
Apply the masking tape.
Apply 3 coats of dry film lubricant to a total thickness of between 0.001 and 0.002 in. (0.025 and 0.051 mm) to surfaces marked AD. Overspray of dry film lubricant is permitted on all surfaces within areas AE which are not included in the surface AC. Use CoMat 10-004 DRY FILM LUBRICANT and CoMat 07-009 THINNER. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-38-03-380-501, SUBTASK 70-38-03-380-004.
Apply the dry film lubricant.

Examine the layer of dry film lubricant.

Bond the chocking pads to the fan blade.
