This repair must only be done when the instruction is given in the relevant inspection procedures (identified by the applicable part number) located in section 72-41-23.
This repair is to replace the helicoil or thinwall insert(s), when they are broken, worn, cross threaded or missing.
If insert holes are found with damage that requires use of oversized inserts, refer to Repair, VRS6540 72-41-23-300-026 (REPAIR-026).

Remove the damaged helicoil insert(s).
