This repair must only be done when the instruction to do so is given in TASK 72-41-23Inspection/Check Page 801.
This Repair is to replace the lining on the HP Compressor Rear Seal Housing, when the lining is worn or damaged.
The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK/SUBTASK numbers are in the SPM.

Cracks are not permitted.
Do a penetrant crack test.

Use CoMat 05-001 ABRASIVE MEDIUM, ALUMINIUM OXIDE, 20/30 GRADE with abrasive blast equipment :epl2.
Abrasive blast to remove the lining.

Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.
Use CoMat 06-022 FLUORESCENT PENETRANT (POST-EMULSIFIED ULTRA HIGH SENSITIVITY) with penetrant crack test equipment.
Cracks are not permitted.
Do a penetrant crack test on the machined areas.
SUBTASK 72-41-23-230-074 Do a Crack Test
Use CoMat 02-001 ADHESIVE TAPE (MASKING) and/or IAE 3R19030 Blast mask front 1 off and IAE 3R19031 Blast mask rear 1 off.
Seal the areas not to be sprayed.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-12-02-120-501.
Use CoMat 05-001 ABRASIVE MEDIUM, ALUMINIUM OXIDE, 20/30 GRADE with abrasive blast equipment.
Abrasive blast the HP Compressor Rear Seal Housing on surface AA.
SUBTASK 72-41-23-120-053 Prepare the Surfaces for Repair

CAUTION
SURFACES FOR REPAIR MUST BE FULLY CLEANED AND NOT TOUCHED BY HAND.CLEAN COTTON OR POLYTHENE GLOVES MUST BE WORN.Use CoMat 02-006 ADHESIVE TAPE ALUMINIUM FOIL and/or IAE 3R19023 Blast mask 1 off and IAE 3R19033 Spary mask front 1 off.
Seal the areas not to be sprayed.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-34-01-340-501, SUBTASK 70-34-01-340-026.
Use CoMat 03-239 METAL SPRAYING POWDER, CHROMIUM CARBIDE/NICHROME 75/25, FINE or CoMat 03-240 METAL SPRAYING POWDER, CHROMIUM CARBIDE/NICHROME 75/25, FINE with metal spray equipment.
Apply a layer of sufficient thickness to get the correct dimensions after the assembly is machined.
Apply the lining.
SUBTASK 72-41-23-340-052 Apply the Lining
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-34-01-340-501.
Visually examine and measure the dimensions of the new lining.
SUBTASK 72-41-23-220-124 Examine the Lining

Use CoMat 06-022 FLUORESCENT PENETRANT (POST-EMULSIFIED ULTRA HIGH SENSITIVITY), with penetrant crack test equipment.
Cracks are not permitted.
Ignore crack indications in the metal spray area.
Do a local penetrant crack test on the repaired area.
