TASK 72-42-20-100-114 No. 4 Bearing Compartment Cooling Air Tube - Clean, Cleaning-014
General
This TASK gives the procedure to clean the No. 4 bearing cooling tube. For the other parts of the No. 4 bearing compartment tubes, refer to Cleaning-000 TASK 72-42-20-100-100.
The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK numbers are in the SPM.
Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants, refer to the IPC.

Degrease parts by aqueous cleaning.
Clean the outside of the tube only.
Remove the grease and oil. Refer to SPM TASK 70-11-03-300-503.
SUBTASK 72-42-20-110-081 Remove the Grease and Oil
Cleaning of components (long soak, for cobalt and nickel base alloys and heat and non-corrosion resistant steels).
You can flush the inside of the tube with a solution given in SPM TASK 70-11-13-300-503.
Do not put the tube fully into the solution.
Remove the rust and carbon. Refer to SPM TASK 70-11-13-300-503.
