        Machine the hook front face.

      2. Refer to Figure.

Remove the old coating and damage fully.

Keep material removal to a minimum.

        Use turning lathe.

    1. SUBTASK 72-50-21-220-185 Examine the Machined Surface

      1. Examine the machined surface dimensionally.

      2. For dimensions refer to Figure.

    1. SUBTASK 72-50-21-230-114 Examine the Machined Surface for Cracks

      1. Do the test for cracks.

      2. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.

        Use medium sensitivity level.

        No cracks are permitted.

    1. SUBTASK 72-50-21-110-116 Clean the LP Turbine Case

      2. Coating in area A2 is permitted if it was blasted before and may be incomplete.

        Refer to Figure.

Make sure that there is sufficient material to do last machining.

Refer to the SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501.

In area A1 minimum coating thickness is 0.0039 in. (0.10 mm) after machining and maximum coating thickness is 0.0295 in. (0.75 mm) before machining.

      1. Examine the coating.

      2. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501-002 for acceptance standards.
