TASK 72-50-53-100-103 No. 5 Bearing Scavenge Oil Tube - Clean, Cleaning-003
General
This TASK gives the procedure to clean the No.5 bearing scavenge tube. For the other parts of the exhaust case and fittings, refer to Cleaning - 000 TASK 72-50-53-100-100.
The practices and processes referred to in the procedure by the TASK numbers are in the SPM.
Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

Degrease parts by aqueous cleaning.
Remove the grease and oil. Refer to SPM TASK 70-11-03-300-503.
SUBTASK 72-50-53-110-072 Remove the Grease and Oil
Local removal of carbon or coke by alkaline gel.
Remove the carbon or coke. Refer to SPM TASK 70-11-55-110-501.
SUBTASK 72-50-53-110-114-001 Remove the Carbon or Coke
Clean the components (long soak, for cobalt and nickel base alloys and non-corrosion resistant steels).
Remove the carbon or coke. Refer to SPM TASK 70-11-13-300-503.
