General

All the parts must be cleaned before they are examined. Refer to the Cleaning-000 TASK 73-22-34-100-300.

All the parts must be visually examined for damage, corrosion and wear. Defects that are not identified in the procedure must be referred to IAE.

        2. Reject

        1. Worn

        2. Refer to SPM TASK 70-42-01-400-501.

      1. Surfaces

        1. Nicked

          1. Nicked to a depth of 0.002 in. (0.05 mm) with no high metal.

          2. Accept

          1. More than in Step.

          2. Reject

      1. Head

        1. Burred

          1. Burred but with no decrease in function.

          2. Accept

    1. SUBTASK 73-22-34-220-063 Examine the Self-Locking Nuts
