    2. Refer to Figure.

      1. Visually examine and measure the dimensions of the bearing location.

    1. SUBTASK 75-24-47-350-064 Install the New Bearing

      NOTE

Before you install the new bearing assembly, you must remove the ball bearing and keep it safe.
    2. Refer to Figure.

      1. Install the new bearing in to the bracket assemblies.

      2. For part 6A6486, 6A6587 use VTB12350E, bearing assembly, 01-530, 1 off. Alternatively use P25000 bearing assembly, 01-530, 1 off. Or use VTB12351, spherical bearing, 01-532, 1 off. Alernatively use P250001 spherical bearing, 01-532, 1 off.

    1. SUBTASK 75-24-47-350-065 Ring Stake the New Bearing

    2. Refer to Figure.

      3. Make sure the new bearing is located correctly.

      1. Inspect the circumference of the gap in the swaged lip to housing chamfer.

      2. Use a 0.127 mm (0.005 in.) feeler gauge. A properly swaged bearing in a optimal housing will not accept the feeler gauge.

      3. No more than 40 per cent of the circumference may accept the feeler gauge.

      4. The bearing race face to be flush with the housing to within 0.254 mm (0.010 in).

    1. SUBTASK 75-24-47-350-066 Do a Bearing Pull Out Check

      1. Select one bearing for a pull out check.
