Grind to remove wear and coat by SPM TASK 70-32-07-100-501 and SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501. Remove the minimum amount of parent material necessary to accomplish the repair.
SUBTASK 72-42-62-330-051 Remove the Coating from the Combustion Chamber Retaining Bolt
Clean the part by SPM TASK 70-11-03-300-503.
SUBTASK 72-42-62-110-054 Clean The Combustion Chamber Retaining Bolt

Do a fluorescent penetrant inspection of the repair area by SPM TASK 70-23-01-230-501 or SPM TASK 70-23-02-230-501

Apply sufficient coating to get final coating thickness of 0.003 in. - 0.005 in. (0.076 mm - 0.127 mm)
Coating out the repair area is not permitted.
Apply plasma spray coating to the repair area.
SUBTASK 72-42-62-340-051 Coat the Combustion Chamber Retaining Bolt
After the coat is applied and the part is cool, remove the mask or maskants. Refer to SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501.
Remove the tape residue by SPM TASK 70-11-26-300-503.
SUBTASK 72-42-62-350-053 Remove The Masking
Refer to Figure.
Refer to SPM TASK 70-32-07-100-501 and SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501.
Coating thickness shall be 0.003 in. - 0.005 in. (0.076 mm - 0.127 mm)
Grind the plasma spray coating, as required, to the dimensions given in the Figure.
SUBTASK 72-42-62-324-001 Grind The Plasma Coating As Required

Examine the repaired area by IAE 53-5. Refer to SPM TASK 70-34-03-340-501.
Coating thickness shall be 0.003 in. - 0.005 in. (0.076 mm - 0.127 mm)
Do a dimensional inspection of the repair area per Figure.
Do a visual and dimensional inspection of the repaired area.
SUBTASK 72-42-62-220-057 Examine the Combustion Chamber Retaining Bolt
Permanently mark using SPM TASK 70-09-00-400-501, vibration peen method.
Mark the part with "VRS3268" adjacent to the assembly part number.
