General
Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the EIPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the EIPC.
Lubricate all threads and abutment faces of nuts and bolts with CoMat 10-039 ENGINE OIL, unless other lubricants are referred to in the procedure.
For the torque tightening procedures refer to the SPM TASK 70-41-00-400-501 and the SPM TASK 70-41-01-400-501.
For the data on electrical connectors refer to the SPM TASK 70-43-00-400-501 and the SPM TASK 70-43-01-400-501.
For the installation procedure of seals and packings refer to the SPM TASK 70-44-01-400-501.
For lockwire data and procedures refer to the SPM TASK 70-42-05-400-501.

WARNING
DO NOT GET THE CLEANING FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, GLOVES, GOGGLES AND A MASK. USE THE FLUID IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. IF YOU GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES, FLUSH IT AWAY WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL AID IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.Remove the blanking caps. Use the CoMat 02-099 LINT-FREE CLOTH and the CoMat 01-002 SOLVENT, DELETED. to clean the interfaces of the components.
The SOT thermocouple OIL-SCAVENGE OIL TEMPERATURE THERMOCOUPLE (79-32-16, 01-010),
the scavenge-oil-filter housing Scavenge Oil Filter Housing (79-22-43, 01-550) and the electrical connector.
SUBTASK 72-00-60-110-062 Clean the Parts
Refer to Figure.
Put the new OIL-SCAVENGE OIL TEMPERATURE THERMOCOUPLE (79-32-16, 01-020)seal ring1 off, on to the SOT thermocouple OIL-SCAVENGE OIL TEMPERATURE THERMOCOUPLE (79-32-16, 01-010).
Install the SOT thermocouple OIL-SCAVENGE OIL TEMPERATURE THERMOCOUPLE (79-32-16, 01-010) and the seal ring OIL-SCAVENGE OIL TEMPERATURE THERMOCOUPLE (79-32-16, 01-020) to the scavenge oil filter housing Scavenge Oil Filter Housing (79-22-43, 01-550). Torque the thermocouple OIL-SCAVENGE OIL TEMPERATURE THERMOCOUPLE (79-32-16, 01-010) to 300 lbfin (34.0 Nm).
Connect the electrical connector to the SOT thermocouple OIL-SCAVENGE OIL TEMPERATURE THERMOCOUPLE (79-32-16, 01-010).
SUBTASK 72-00-60-440-052 Install the SOT Thermocouple

Make sure that all the applicable backshells and cable clamps are safetied with CoMat 02-126 LOCKWIRE. Refer to the SPM TASK 70-42-05-400-501.
