General

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

For all parts identified in a different Chapter/Section/Subject the applicable Chapter/Section/Subject comes before Fig/item number.

Apply the approved CoMat 10-058 PENETRATING OIL before the removal of threaded parts. Let the parts soak before removal.

Remove and discard the lockwire before the tube or connector is disconnected.

When electrical connections are disconnected special plastic caps must be installed.

All the tubes, hoses and ducts removed in this procedure must have their maintenance completed, as given in the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM-THD-V2500-1IA).

Seal all openings to prevent contamination from unwanted materials.

Discard all rubber seal rings removed in this procedure.

NOTE

To identify the consumable materials refer to the PCI.

Procedure

    1. SUBTASK 71-00-02-020-041 Remove the Cabin Bleed Air System Ducts, Valves and Sense Tubes (Pre SBE 36-0007 and SBE 36-0007)

    2. Refer to Figure, Figure, Figure and Figure.

      1. Remove the upper duct assembly.

      2. Remove the coupling that attaches the upper duct assembly to the pressure regulator bleed valve.

      3. Remove the nut, the bolt and the washer that attach the connecting rod to the bracket HPC Assembly (72-41-00, 03-770).

      4. Remove the nut, the bolt and the washer that attach the link to the brackets HPC Module - Attaching Parts (72-40-00, 01-760) and HPC Module - Attaching Parts (01-770).

      5. Remove the upper duct assembly.

      6. Remove the seal.

      1. Remove the pressure regulator bleed valve Bleed Pressure Regulator Valve (36-11-52, 01-050).

      2. Disconnect the electrical connector 4001HA-A.

      3. NOTE

        The hose PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 02-200) must have its maintenance completed, as given in the Marston Palmer Ltd. Component Maintenance Manual (36-21-49).

        Disconnect and remove the hose PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 02-200) from the tube connected to the pressure regulator bleed valve.

      4. Disconnect the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 01-510) from the pressure regulator bleed valve. Loosen the applicable clip positions to give clearance for tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 01-510).

      5. Disconnect the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 01-600) from the pressure regulator bleed valve.

      6. Remove the coupling that attaches the pressure bleed valve to the 'Y' duct.

      7. NOTE

        The pressure regulator bleed valve must have its maintenance completed, as given in the ABG Semca Component Maintenance Manual (36-11-52).

        Remove the pressure regulator bleed valve.

      8. Remove the seal.

      1. Remove the Y-duct.

      2. Disconnect the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 02-500) from the union PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 02-650). Loosen the applicable clip positions to give sufficient clearance for tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 02-500). Remove the union and K-seal from the duct PNEUMATIC-BLEED AIR DUCTS (36-11-49, 01-300).

      3. Disconnect and remove tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 02-725) from the hose PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 02-700).

      4. NOTE

        The hose PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 02-700) must have its maintenance completed, as given in the Marston Palmer Ltd. Component Maintenance Manual (36-21-49).

        Disconnect and remove the hose PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 02-700) from the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 02-500).

      5. Remove clip positions 5923 and 6064 and remove tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 02-500).

      6. Remove the coupling that attaches the Y-duct to the IP bleed check valve.

      7. Remove the coupling that attaches the Y-duct to the lower duct assembly.

      8. Remove the Y-duct.

      9. Remove the two seals.

      1. Remove the lower duct assembly.

      2. Remove the coupling that attaches the lower duct assembly to the HP bleed valve.

      3. Remove the lower duct assembly.

      4. Remove the seal.

      1. Remove the HP bleed valve.

      2. Disconnect the electrical connector 4000HA-A.

      3. Disconnect the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 01-100) from the HP bleed valve. Loosen the applicable clip positions to give clearance to the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 01-510).

      4. Disconnect the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 01-600) from the HP bleed valve.

      5. Remove the coupling that attaches the HP bleed valve to the HP10 cabin air duct.

      6. NOTE

        The HP bleed valve must have its maintenance completed, as given in the ABG Semca Component Maintenance Manual (36-11-51).

        Remove the HP bleed valve.

      7. Remove the seal.

      1. Remove the IP bleed check valve.

      2. Remove the coupling that attaches the IP bleed check valve to the HP7 bleed valve/cabin air duct.

      3. NOTE

        The IP bleed check valve must have its maintenance completed, as given in the ABG Semca Component Maintenance Manual (36-11-41).

        Remove the IP bleed check valve.

      4. Remove the seal.

    1. SUBTASK 71-00-02-020-042-A00 Remove the Remaining Cabin Bleed System Sense Tubes (Pre SBE 36-0007 and SBN 71-0273)

    2. Refer to Figure.

      1. Remove the remaining cabin bleed system sense tubes.

      2. Remove the attaching parts at clip positions 5862 and 5931, remove the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 01-100).

      3. Disconnect the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 01-500) from the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 01-510).

      4. Remove the clip positions 5495, 5997 and 5865. Remove the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 01-500).

      5. Remove the clip positions 5996 and 6108. Remove the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 01-510).

    1. SUBTASK 71-00-02-020-042-B00 Remove the Remaining Cabin Bleed System Sense Tubes (SBE 36-0007)

    2. Refer to Figure.

      1. Remove the remaining cabin bleed system sense tubes.

      2. Disconnect the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 01-600) from the pressure regulator bleed valve Bleed Pressure Regulator Valve (36-11-52, 01-050) and the high pressure bleed valve PNEUMATIC-HP BLEED VALVE(36-11-51, 01-050).

      3. Remove the clip positions 5657, 5647 and 5591. Remove the tube PNEUMATIC-PRESSURE INDICATING TUBES (36-21-49, 01-600).
