Other brazed tube features, that do not require to be replaced, must be protected from acid attack.
Use chemical cleaning equipment.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-33-89-300-503, Subtask 70-33-89-300-002.
Immerse pipe in 25 percent nitric acid solution at room temerature to remove old braze material.
Use CoMat 05-135 POLISHING BOB or similar with standard workshop equipment.
Lightly polish brazed area to remove discoloration.
SUBTASK 70-35-24-110-002 Remove Remaining Braze
Cracks are not permitted.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-23-05-230-501.
Do a local penetrant crack test on the repaired area(s).

Use chemical cleaning equipment.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-11-26-300-503.
Chemically clean the tube and new components.
SUBTASK 70-35-24-110-003 Chemically Clean
Use CoMat 03-009 LOW TEMPERATURE BRAZINGFLUX and CoMat 03-006 LOW TEMPERATURE BRAZINGFILLER WIRE, with brazing equipment.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-31-01-310-501.
Braze the components to the tube.
SUBTASK 70-35-24-310-003 Braze the Components
Use chemical cleaning equipment.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-31-19-300-503.
Chemically clean the tube, to remove residual flux.
SUBTASK 70-35-24-110-004 Chemically Clean
Use Electrolytic etch equipment.
Alternatively it is permitted to use vibro-engraving equipment on cast or forged surfaces only.
Refer to the SPM TASK 70-09-00-400-501, SUBTASK 70-09-400-001.
Make a mark VRS7001/2 adjacent to the part number.
