    2. Refer to Fig. 70-35-24-990-003.

      1. Assemble the components to the tube and locate in the jig, as appropriate.

      2. Check diametrical clearance where appropriate.

      1. Braze the components to the tube.

    1. SUBTASK 70-35-24-110-004 Chemically Clean

      1. Chemically clean the tube, to remove residual flux.

      1. Braze witness.

      2. There must be a witness of at least 75 percent along each visible edge.

      1. Porosity.

      2. Accept less than 40 percent total area.

      1. Braze overspill on external surfaces.

      2. Accept, provided it does not interfere with diameters on half sleeves and clips, or mating faces on clips and does not extend beyond more than 0.118in. (3.00 mm) beyond the brazed feature.

      1. Longitudinal mismatch of half sleeves.

      2. Accept up to 0.051in. (1.30 mm) out of position.

      1. Circumferential position.

      2. Accept touching along one edge of half sleeves.

      1. Maximum diameter over brazed half sleeves.

      2. Tube diameter plus metal thickness half sleeve times 2 plus 0.020in. (0.50 mm).

      1. Maximum diameter over clip.

      2. Tube diameter plus metal thickness of clip plus 0.010in. (0.25 mm).

      1. Flux.

      2. Make sure all the flux is removed.

    1. SUBTASK 70-35-24-780-002 Pressure Test
