General

Fig/item numbers in parentheses in the procedure agree with those used in the IPC. Only the primary Fig/item numbers are used. For the service bulletin alpha variants refer to the IPC.

For all the parts identified in a different Chapter/Section/Subject, the applicable Chapter/Section/Subject comes before the Fig/item number.

Apply the approved penetrating oil before the removal of threaded parts and parts with an interference fit. Let the parts soak before removal. For the approved oils and procedures, refer to the SPM TASK 70-64-00-640-501.

The number for each radial location must be identified in a clockwise direction. These start at the engine top position when you look from the rear of the engine, unless stated differently in the procedure.

Procedure

1. Refer to Figure, Figure, Figure, Figure, Figure, Figure, Figure, Figure, Figure, Figure, Figure and Figure.
2. 1. Remove the two bolts which attach the bracket ICE AND RAIN PROTECTION-ANTI-ICE DUCTS (30-21-49, 01-200) to the raft.
  2. Remove the two bolts and the two nuts which attach the bracket and the raft to holes 8 and 9 on the flange FA1.
  3. Remove the two bolts which attach the raft to the bracket BRACKETS & RACEWAYS-HARNESS SUPPORT-FAN (71-51-50, 01-880).
  4. Remove the two screws, the two washers and the two nuts which attach the bracket and the packing piece to the holes 3 and 4.
  5. Temporarily attach the bracket/raft assembly to the flange FA1 with a bolt and a nut at hole 8. Tighten the nut.
3. 1. Remove the four screws and the four nuts which attach the two brackets at the holes 6, 8 and 19, 20 with the ACR Torq-Set bit 212-1/4-ACR 1 off.
4. 1. Remove the four screws and the four nuts which attach the two brackets at the holes 10, 11 and 13, 14 with the ACR Torq-Set bit 212-1/4-ACR 1 off.
5. 1. Remove the two screws and the two nuts which attach the bracket at the holes 22 and 23 with the ACR Torq-Set bit 212-1/4-ACR 1 off.
6. 1. Pre SBE 71-0070: Remove the two bolts which attach the bracket ELECT HARNESS-LIGHT DUTY-EEC/IGN SUPPLY HARNESS (71-51-42, 05-810) to the raft.
  2. Remove the two bolts which attach the bracket ELECT HARNESS-LIGHT DUTY-EEC/IGN SUPPLY HARNESS (71-51-42, 05-940) to the raft.
  3. Remove the three bolts and the three nuts which attach the bracket and the raft at the holes 22 to 24 on the flange FA1.
  4. Remove the two bolts which attach the raft to the bracket ELECT HARNESS-LIGHT DUTY-EEC/IGN SUPPLY HARNESS (71-51-42, 05-780).
  5. Remove the two screws, the two washers and the two nuts which attach the bracket and the packing piece at the holes 22 and 23.
7. 1. Remove the four screws, the four washers and the four nuts which attach the two brackets and the two packing pieces.
8. 1. Remove the bracket AIR-STAGE 10 AIR SOLENOID VALVE (75-23-52, 01-500). Refer to TASK 72-00-32-020-005-A00, SUBTASK 72-00-32-020-129-A00 or SUBTASK 72-00-32-020-129-B00, the detail on G.
  2. Remove the two bolts and the two nuts which attach the raft AIR-STAGE 10 AIR SOLENOID VALVE (75-23-52, 01-600) at the holes 51 and 52 on the flange FA1.
  3. Remove the two bolts which attach the link bracket and the raft to the flange FA attachment angle. Remove the link bracket and the raft.
  4. Remove the two screws and the two nuts which attach the attachment angle and the packing piece. Remove the attachment angle and the packing piece.
9. 1. Remove the four screws, the four washers and the four nuts which attach the two brackets and the two packing pieces at the holes 39, 41, 46 and 47.
10. 1. Remove the three bolts and the three nuts which attach the bracket and the raft at the holes 63 to 65 on the flange FA1.
  2. Remove the two bolts which attach the raft to the bracket ELECT HARNESS-LIGHT DUTY-GEN SERVICES HARNESS (71-51-43, 05-930).
  3. Remove the two screws, the two washers and the two nuts which attach the bracket and the packing piece at the holes 43 and 44.
11. 1. Pre SBE 71-0110.
    Remove the four bolts which attach the raft to the flange attachment angles.
    Remove the three bolts and the three nuts which attach the attachment angle and the bracket at the holes 88 to 90 on the flange FA1.
    Remove the two screws and the two nuts which attach the attachment angle and the packing piece at the holes 56 and 57.
12. 1. SBE 71-0110: Provide rerouted oil tubes for the ACOC and the oil tank assembly.
    Remove the four bolts which attach the raft and the bracket to the flange attachment angles.
    Remove the two bolts and the two nuts which attach the attachment angle and the bracket at the holes 88 and 89 on the flange FA1.
    Remove the two screws and the two nuts which attach the attachment angle and the packing piece at the holes 56 and 57.
13. 1. Remove the three bolts and the three nuts which attach the raft and the bracket at the holes 97 to 99 on the flange FA1.
  2. Remove the two bolts which attach the raft to the attachment angle OIL-SCAVENGE OIL TUBES-ENGINE (79-22-49, 14-880).
  3. Remove the two screws, the two washers and the two nuts which attach the attachment angle and the packing piece at the holes 60 and 61.
14. 1. Remove the four bolts which attach the raft to the flange attachment angles.
  2. Remove the two bolts and the two nuts which attach the attachment angle and the bracket at the holes 109 and 110 on the flange FA1.
  3. Remove the two screws, the two washers and the two nuts which attach the attachment angle and the packing piece at the holes 65 and 66.

  3. Remove the two bolts, the two washers and the two nuts which attach the attachment angle at the holes 117 and 119.
