Procedure

    1. Inspections for Engines Removed for N1 Overspeed

      1. For an overspeed of 103 percent N1 or more you must remove and disassemble the engine and complete the TASKs that follow:

      2. Examine the Fan Blade Rear Retaining Ring. Refer to TASK 72-31-12-200-001-A00 and TASK 72-31-12-200-001-B00.

      3. Examine the Fan Disk. Refer to TASK 72-31-12-200-002.

      4. Examine the Fan Blade Front Retaining Ring. Refer to TASK 72-31-13-200-001-A00 and TASK 72-31-13-200-001-B00.

      5. Examine the LP Stub Shaft. Refer to TASK 72-32-51-200-004.

      6. Examine the LPC Disc. Refer to TASK 72-32-81-200-001-A00 and TASK 72-32-81-200-001-B00.

      7. Examine the LPC Stage 2.5 Blades. Refer to TASK 72-32-82-200-001-A00, TASK 72-32-82-200-001-B00 and TASK 72-32-82-200-001-C00.

      8. Examine the LPC Stage 2.0 Blades. Refer to TASK 72-32-82-200-002-A00, TASK 72-32-82-200-002-B00 and TASK 72-32-82-200-002-C00.

      9. Examine the LPC Stage 1.5 Blades. Refer to TASK 72-32-82-200-003-A00, TASK 72-32-82-200-003-B00 and TASK 72-32-82-200-003-C00.

      10. Examine the LPC Stage 2.3 Blades. Refer to TASK 72-32-82-200-004.

      11. Examine the Fan Case Attrition Lining for excessive rubbing. Refer to TASK 72-32-85-200-001-A00, TASK 72-32-85-200-001-B00, TASK 72-32-85-200-001-C00 and TASK 72-32-85-200-001-D00.

      12. Examine the Inlet Cone Assembly. Refer to TASK 72-38-11-200-002-A00 and TASK 72-38-11-200-002-B00.

      13. Examine the Inlet Cone Fairing. Refer to TASK 72-38-11-200-001-A00 and TASK 72-38-11-200-001-B00.

      14. Examine the LPT Shaft. Refer to TASK 72-50-41-200-003-A00 and TASK 72-50-41-200-003-B00.

      15. Examine LPT Stage 4 Disk. Refer to TASK 72-50-31-200-004.

      16. Examine LPT Stage 6 Disk. Refer to TASK 72-50-31-200-002-A00.

      17. Examine LPT Stage 3 Rotating Air Seal. Refer to TASK 72-50-33-200-005.

      18. Examine LPT Stage 4 Rotating Air Seal. Refer to TASK 72-50-33-200-004-A00 and TASK 72-50-33-200-004-B00.

      19. Examine LPT Stage 5 Rotating Air Seal. Refer to TASK 72-50-33-200-003-A00 and TASK 72-50-33-200-003-B00.

      20. Examine LPT Stage 6 Rotating Air Seal. Refer to TASK 72-50-33-200-002.

      21. Examine LPT Stage 7 Rotating Air Seal. Refer to TASK 72-50-33-200-001-A00 and TASK 72-50-33-200-001-B00.

      22. Examine LPT Stage 6 Inner Air Seal. Refer to TASK 72-50-00-200-005-A00, TASK 72-50-00-200-005-B00 and TASK 72-50-00-200-005-C00.

      23. Examine LPT Stage 7 Outer Shroud Seal Segment. Refer to TASK 72-50-23-200-001.

    2. Inspect (LP) Turbine Outer Static Seals for unusual rub-in of honeycombs. In case of unusual rub-in, do full piece part inspection on the whole set of affected (LP) Turbine Blades per engine manual.
